From a 16oz can, dated 11/21/23. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a hazy, milky-pale orange with a finger of soft, shaving cream-like head. Retention is OK, on the order of a minute or so, and leaves a creamy cap and a solid curtain of sudsy lacing.
Nose is… absent. I can’t smell a thing. Is that good or bad? Objectively, do I have to rate that dead-average? I mean, It doesn’t smell bad. It just doesn’t smell.
Taste is at least more interesting than the nose. Chalky, and there’s both a graininess and a soapy, astringent, baking soda-like quality which, together, put me in mind of shortbread, or biscuits, or pancakes or something like that. Tasting a medley of tropical fruits - nothing specific, just ‘tropical fruit.’ Soapy finish.
Feel is smooth and juicy, medium bodied but feeling maybe a smidge heavier owing to slightly less than optimal carbonation - carb feels prickly on the sip but isn’t robust enough to get much past the tip of my tongue. Slick, soapy finish - oats? Yes, the label says both wheat and oats.
Overall, I realize that it’s not the kindest sounding review that I’ve ever written but I honest to god enjoyed it, I really did. If I had another, I’d drink it. If I had the whole four-pack I would drink it, and not just because I’m a slut. The beer had flaws but none of them were awful and some of them were interesting.

A-Hazy straw yellow with a solid white head
S-Ripe Tropical fruits and some funk. Elements of mango, pineapple, papaya and citrus.
M-Chaulky and slightly acidic. Medium body and medium carbonation
T-Grape fruit pith with candied mango and dried apricot. Bitterness is assertive and does balance well, but some may find it overpowering for a NEIPA, but this is advertised as an IPA…but doesn’t fit that bill on appearance and other profiles
O-Another solid brew. The chaulky scenario is an issue and is likely a water profile overcompensation that I hope they regulate soon…
