Canned 28/07. Pours a cloudy, yellow colour. Fluffy head formation with good retention and lacing. Smells fruity, pear. Melon taste, with great mouthfeel. Overall a great one!

From a 16oz can, dated 07/28/22. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours an opaque, milky-pale grapefruit juice colour with a finger-plus of super-soft lush and lathery head. Retention is excellent, leaving a fat, creamy cap and a persistent sheet of sudsy lacing. Nails the NEIPA look.
Aroma is soft and subtle, mildly sweet and cakey. Creamy, white cake, peach and orange.
Taste is similar to the nose, less cakey and more citrusy with a nice contrasting back-and-forth between sweet orange creamsicle and pithy grapefruit. Some berry-like character, peach flesh, and then a smidge of pine resin at the finish. A mild sour melon aftertaste, easily erased by the next sip and instantly forgiven.
Feel is creamy-juicy, medium-plus bodied maybe? but with zesty, bright carbonation making it feel lighter than that.
Overall, a quite excellent NEIPA. There’s an unexpected balance (relative to my expectations based on my experience with other Messorem IPA’s) and a pleasing contrast between the sweet and the bitter, and the juicy and the creamy. There’s a mild sour aftertaste maybe but, aside from that, it is, essentially, flawless.
