From a 16oz can, undated as far as I can tell. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.
Pours an opaque, milky-pale orange with two-plus fingers of soft, soapy suds. Retention is very good, leaving a heavy whipped egg white-like cap and wads of bubbly lacing.
Nose is sharp and yeasty. Aroma of peach, pear and white cake crumbles. Yum.
Tasting pineapple, tea, mango, pear, tangerine, savory, hard sugar candies and sugar cookies - and despite some of the preceding descriptors the beer is only very mildly sweet, with the juicy, marmalade-y, sugary flavors being carried entirely on the alcohol.
Feel is clean and juicy, medium bodied and brightly carbonated - I’m going to be honest here and admit that I couldn’t stop myself from sucking down the whole can before I had a chance to finish writing the review. There is a very slight, comfortable boozy warmth down in my belly but, other than that, it seems inconceivable that this beer is really 10% abv.
Overall, excellent, hugely recommended. My IPA sweet spot, abv-wise is between 7% and 8%, and I’ll typically altogether avoid anything over 8.5%. This beer drinks like it’s maybe 7% and it’s easily within my top 10 NEDIPA’s ever and, unquestionably, the very best triple IPA (i.e., 10%-or-better) I’ve ever had.
