From a 16oz can, dated 07/26/22. Gently agitated/rotated through 360° and served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a hazy, milky-gold with a finger-plus of beaten egg white-like foam. Retention is just OK, leaving a fizzy-sudsy cap and a thin curtain of bubbly lacing.
Nose is relatively faint. With effort, teasing out a little crackery aroma and some citrus.
Taste is layered: grainy with grapefruit peel bitterness, then soda cracker and orange, pine cone and peach.
Feel is clean and dry, medium-thin bodied and brightly carbonated.
Overall, tasty stuff. A west coast-east coast, old school-NEIPA hybrid sort of thing. Brewer’s description says Galaxy, centennial and Amarillo, and I’m definitely getting the centennial and Amarillo, but the Galaxy has totally gone MIA for me.
