Pours the color of watered-down orange juice with a nice creamy white head that settles to a film/ring but is readily roused. Minimal lacing. The aroma sports a lot of mango and overripe mandarin oranges, with some lighter, tart citrus character and a very present white cake sweetness. The flavor follows more or less the same path. There is not as much malt sweetness to it, but lots of citrus juice. Finishes with a lemon-lime twang and a hoppy pucker. It is medium bodied and relatively thin for the style. It doesn't feel thin, however. Refreshing orange sweetart character with faint, coating hop astringency in the middle palate. A pretty dang tasty beer all in all. The flavor has an interesting character to it that I can't quite put my finger on, I am choosing to attribute it to the superdelic (new hop variety I assume?) and motueka kief. Mmmm kief..... Anyway, not bad at all.

Update:
Had my last can of this at the end of August and it was great!! Much tightened, rounded, mellowed from my review only a couple weeks prior. Honestly a very good beer at that point and likely above what I rated it as. That said, since Messorem continues to not employ a competent cellarman, I refuse to raise my rating if the bump comes from me cold conditioning their expensive fucking beer for them....

From a 16oz can, dated 08/03/23. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours an opaque, pale milky orange with a scant half-finger of soft, soapy suds. Retention is decent, leaving a fizzy cap, a creamy collar, and a rousable sheet of thin, slippery lacing.
Nose is mildly sweet and citrusy. Aroma of orange slices and lime.
Taste is juicy and dank, a little composty like a carton of juice that’s maybe been in the fridge a little too long. Tasting lime, orange, grapefruit and cedar.
Feel is smooth, juicy, doughy, medium-hefty bodied with ample fine, tingly carbonation. Finishes with a woody, boozy, composty acidic smouldering in the gullet.
Overall, nails the style - juicy, dank NEDIPA Citra bomb. My hop itch is most thoroughly scratched.
