Can pour at the brewery. It pours a clear, honey-bronze color with a modest, ecru-colored head and elegant, creamy lacing. The subdued nose includes faint caramel, citrus, and red berry. The taste is mostly dry and nutty with burnt char. It's surprisingly bitter. The mouth feel is lite and crisp with appropriate carbonation and it's poundable at 4.6% ABV. Overall, the flavor is a bit one-dimensional but in a world of Imperial Red Ales, such a drinkable Amber is welcome.
