On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a slightly hazy, pretty honey-amber with a thin, ecru-colored head and thick coating of lacing inside the glass. A rather subdued nose; it's malt with just a whiff of lemon and grapefruit. The taste offers abundant caramel malt, toffee, corn sugar, and citrus. It's strongly bitter throughout with 92 IBU. There is a noticeable alcohol burn. Its mouthfeel is moderately thick and creamy with appropriate carbonation and it seems to drink bigger than the 10% ABV. Overall, I'd describe Leland's Law as a high ABV version of a southern-style malty, bitter IPA. Nothing about it is subtle.
