Espresso Stout
Intense aromas of espresso and dark chocolate precede this rich, elegant stout. Medium-bodied with a pleasant sweetness. Conditioned atop pounds and pounds of coffee beans from bean2bean.

Pours a medium dark brown with a two inch tan head that leaves blotchy lacing. Smells of espresso, malts and some chocolate. Tastes of espresso and more espresso, roasted malts and chocolate. On the light side for a stout, slightly thin mouth feel, medium carbonation, slightly dry finish.

Can to Snifter.
LOOK: Black Brown. A tad darker/thicker than cola. Small off white head. Good retention.
AROMA: Coffee. Good, but that's it.
TASTE: coffee. soft malt gives some added bitterness at finish.
FEEL: Thin for a stout. very light on carbonation,
ok. Tasty but not much too it.
Fondly remembering Dock Street as one of my first favorite microbrews.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of strong black coffee. Taste is the same, lots of dark roast coffee, little else. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall, if you are a coffee lover, try this beer, otherwise, you may want to pass on it.

Dock Street - Bean 2 Bean
Espresso Stout - 6% abv
No visible canning date
L - Gentle pour results in 1.5 finger light brown head that sticks around. Very dark brown, almost black body.
S - Holy coffee! Also getting some molasses, sugar, dark chocolate, and light booze.
T - Dark chocolate-covered coffee beans. Not as sweet as I had feared. A good amount of roast.
F - Medium body. Wish it was a wee bit creamier.
O - one of the best I've ever had from Dock Street. Since they don't distro out of SEPA I tend to include their beers frequently as trade extras. This one will definitely find a place in several boxes.
