On tap at Dock Street on 8/6/08.
A - Clear amber/garnet body with cola-colored hues and one-finger bubbly, off-white head that dissipated and left no lacing. Very highly carbonated, almost reminiscent of a soft drink or soda.
S - Predominantly malty nose with sweet caramel and toffee notes and a mild floral hop aroma.
T - Lots of toasted grains in the initial taste, as well as caramel malt, toffee and some breadiness. Mild burnt wood/bark in there as well. Minimal hop presence with some mild floral notes.
M - Medium bodied with a thick, syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Residual sweetness in the finish with very minimal bitterness.
D - Pretty solid red ale with a big malt presence and nice graininess. Easy to drink.
