A-Orange tinted golden yellow with a bright white head that left decent lace.
S-Like Sprite beer...lemon, lime and then lemon and lime...cool. A bit of underlying malt sweetness comes through at the end.
T-Lemon and lime...pretty simple. Building bitterness comes in feeling like it is from the fruit zest and not hops. This is a very pleasant and refreshing brew.
M-Medium-light body with a rather creamy texture and a nice lingering zesty bitterness.
D-Totally drinkable....another winning hot summer day quaffer from Dock Street. Sprite for adults!

Thanks to Ffejherb for the growler. Shared with Ffej and Deuane.
A: The kölsch is a well-carbonated, even with a week or so under its belt. The body is bright, a golden yellow color.
S: The nose is citrusy, but not in the usual hoppy way. This is more of an intense, sweet n' sour blend of lemon and lime, like the concentrated juices that come in containers shaped like the fruit.
T: Intensely lime (never thought that I'd say that for anything other than Corona). The flavor is infused into the very essence of the kölsch. The lime is sweet with a tart undertone; a tasty that is thick and pulpy even though the ale is sediment free. The malts and hops are well-hidden beneath the lime.
M: You better like lime! Moderate carbonation and an interesting tartness work, I swear!
D: An interesting beer. This, along with the Sass, are unusual takes on beer. If you have a chance to try it, give it a shot.

On tap at Dock Street on 9/13/08.
A - Clear golden/honey amber body with one-finger bubbly white head that receded into a thin film but left some nice lacing around the glass. Moderate amount of carbonation present.
S - Strong bittersweet lemon-lime citrus rind dominates the aroma. There's also a mild bready maltiness underneath all of the citrus goodness.
T - Sweet and fruity with copious amounts of lemon and lime zest. Overall, the citrus flavor tastes very natural and not artificial at all, as if a lime was floating in the beer. Finishes with a pleasant bready malt aspect, yet retains the citrus bitterness throughout. There is also an underlying sweetness that balances everything out.
M - Light bodied with a thin and watery texture. Crisp mouthfeel with minimal carbonation overall. Citrus bitterness envelopes the tongue. Finish is crisp, clean and refreshing.
D - The citrus character lends itself wonderfully to this Kolsch-style brew... as if a Kolsch wasn't refreshing enough! Dock Street puts a nice "limon" twist on this simple, easy-drinking style. Nicely done!
