First had: on tap at Johnny Brenda's, Philly, PA
Poured into a pint glass, a bronzed amber color with a very thin, bubbly eggshell head, that retained throughout and left decent lacing. Pungent, toasty aroma, bready, with citrus tones coming through. Biscuity taste, toasty rye malts, some grapefruit zest, earthy, with a slight mineral quality noticeable. Alcohol bite makes a cameo in the finish. Medium mouthfeel and quite drinkable.

Pimp my Rye has many of the same qualities that makes the Rye IPA great, as well as a great name!
Pimp my Rye has a bountiful bouquet from the grapefruit and spruce flavored Northwestern hops. A nice tangy Rye kick sneaks up on you that really works well with the fruity hops. The beer has a very smooth body and dry, attenuated finish.
I don't know if the quoted ABV is correct, but this is a delicious beer that unfortunately seems like a one-off.

Commercial Description: A higher gravity version of Dock Street's Rye IPA
I had this at Iron Abbey in Horsham PA on 6.6.10 during Philly Beer Week and it was a gem.
Appearance: Pours crimson with a 2 finger khaki crown that displays good retention and lace plus a nice oily sheen.
Smell: Nice blend of columbus, simcoe, and amarillo hops over a fairly biscuity malt.
Taste: Nice blend of columbus, simcoe, and amarillo hops over a fairly biscuity malt. Really makes the hops shine and I'm happy the malt isn't very sweet. Awesome.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with nice carbonation.
Drinkability: Loving it.
Home Run Dock Street!
Not sure if this is a one off or a rotational but its my favorite offering from you yet! Please make more!
