Hazy amber in the pint glass. Unimpressive head.
A plain and unpretentious hoppy Pale Ale. Even on the rustic side. Lots of malt, a little sharp, a big nose of flowery hops, and a slap of no-nonsense bitterness. The bitter taste, however, melts into the biscuity barley and touches some high notes of fragrant resins. Less carbonated than average, but a better flowery beer than lots of American PAs. Cheers to Dock Street for a good drinkable Bitter.
On tap at Twenty Manning, Philadelphia. From notes on June 2, 2012 visit.

Dock Street OMG! Pale Ale…..on tap at the brewery in Philadelphia
Appearance-Vibrant orange color out of the tap and into the pint glass, a medium sized head that sticks around nicely with crackling big bubbles normally associated with bigger more complex beers.
Aroma-smell of citrus and light hops, slight bread flavors and a little bit of grass
Taste/Mouthfeel-medium mouthfeel, hoppy upfront with some sour fruit notes and light malt. Ok smoothness, hops stay for a long time and linger on the finish. The fruit note turns odd halfway through I’m unsure why.
Drinkability-refreshing on a hot day like today.
Overall-I’m sick of APAs but I thought this was a passable version, flavorful yet refreshing on a hot day.

This beer poured out as a cloudy orange yellow color. The head was a little sticky and leaves just a light ring around the glass. The smell has a light citrusy aromas coming off of it. The taste is lemony and has a good bite in the finish. The mouthfeel is light and refreshing and very dry in the finish. Overall it's a good summer brew.

Had this one on a scorcher of a day on 7/22/11. Color was very hazy and yellow in color. Decent heading at first but did turn flat a little quick. Swirled it a few times to bring back some bubbling action. Decent floral nose kind of tamed but more of a heavier doughiness takes over. More of the same in the tasting. Crisp doughy malts with just a dash of bittering hops. The Cascade and Columbus hops really do shine here in the finish. A little light on the carbonation side in the mouth, watery and a little weak on the palate. A perfect beer for a day like today (around 100 when I checked last).
