Hazy golden amber in the tall Petrus tulip. Full of the lighter sort of Belgian flavors. Like a Biere de Garde. Biscuits in the aroma and a really pleasant malty nose. Full carbonation on the tongue.
Lots of grain in the flavors. Light biscuit taste with some toast. Just a little browned malt along with the bitterish yeasty flavors. Long bitterish aftertaste. Wheaty and peppery at the same time. Quite dry to start and more so in the finish. Another great example of a less-common beer style. Flavorful and a little sharp, with a mineral taste.
Rated at 32 IBU. 22 oz bottle numbered 176 of 180. Bought at the brewery on Baltimore Ave in Philadelphia.
