From the 11.16 oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers and thanks for this one!
This excellent porter pours a dark blackish brown with a nice head of khaki foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of
dark chocolate, moderate char, dark fruit notes, and dark breaded notes. Flavors
surpass the nose with dark chocolate, dark coffee touches, balanced char, dark berry
notes of blackberry, dark rye bread nuances, and molasses notes. Mouth feel is medium
full, smooth, rich, lightly coating, and finishing with a nice bitter malt and dark chocolate
note.
Overall, the Little Lady and I have a fond memory of Gemut while visiting with Bluejacket74
and our friend Laura who is no longer with us. Everything we tried there was excellent
and this is no exception. A fantastic baltic from a fantastic brewery that deserves a LOT
more attention!
Cheers

11.16 ounce bottle, 2023 vintage, 8.4% ABV printed on the label. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. Good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, dark fruit, dark bread and some chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some earthy flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit coating and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was a good overall Baltic Porter, need to try this one again and hopefully some of the variants at some point!
