From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent brew pours a rugged dark brownish
black with a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and
sports some very nice lacing. Nose of dark bakers chocolate, subtle coffee, deep
roasted malts, and moderate caramel. Flavors surpass the nose with roasted
caramel malts, moderate char, subtle coffee, dark bakers chocolate, and
dark breaded malts. Mouth feel is medium, medium light carbonation,
smooth, and finishing with a nice bitter malt note.
Overall, hard to say anything other than praise for Gemüt, they
do the standards VERY WELL.
Cheers

16 ounce can, canned on 12/20/24. Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a very dark brown color with a bit of a reddish tinge. There's about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt and a bit of caramel. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark bready flavors. Leans bitter tasting but with a hint of sweetness. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I think this is a good overall brew, would like to buy this more often but pretty sure it's just a seasonal one. Certainly worth trying if you get the chance!
