Sparkling yet lightly foggy dark amber with a short off-white blanket settling to a thin persistent film leaving wavy layers of lace.
Toasty cracker is a little buttery with accents of black pepper as the hops bring notes of mango skin and orange peel. It's got a firm bitterness.
Overall a more old school IPA closer to a West Coast inspiration.

I haven't kept up with the nuances between their various versions of this IPA, but in 2026 I had a pour of v3, which exhibited cologney pine and gassy orange rind meeting toasty cracker in a more refined expression than the first version I had years ago. Tasty and soft, I enjoy it even moreso than the 3.96 I originally gave it.
