1 PINT can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is roasted malt, black coffee and dark chocolate. I get a little citrus from the hops.
The taste is roasted malt, cocoa and black coffee. The hops come in the middle and start to bitter things up. I get some bitter grapefruit and pine. Lingering bitterness in the finish.
Full bodied with a slick mouthfeel
This beer was way hoppier on draft. This can has mellowed the hops out and made it more enjoyable for me. It almost drinks more like a black IPA than a stout. Needless to say it is a hoppy stout.
