My first go from this new Cowtown brewery that is solely gluten free.
Appearance - Pours a hazy peach honey with two fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - citrus and tropical hops, ricey and grainy malts, citrus and orange peel, peach, and earthy yeast.
Taste - citrus and tropical hops followed by the ricey and grainy malts. The citrus, orange peel, and peach follow suit. The earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes slightly sticky with the citrus notes lingering.
Overall - An interesting concept to brew a New England IPA without the hop bitterness from a true NE IPA. The taste may be not be up everyone's alley. This one has some elements that will appease to those gluten free beer lovers out there. I feel as though this one needs a little more flavour. Still, worth a try if you're curious.
