Whenever one gets to try a regional offering ones hopes tend to rise.
However beer drinking is a slow learning rocess and a reality check would have and should have told me to lower expectations.
Average Aussie lager , however nothing particularly characteristic about it.(other than being from Eumundi)

a: Rocky white head that sinks quickly. Pale amber, not much effervescence.
s: Typical PoR metal & sulfur
f: Archetypal Aussie macro.... maybe a touch better than the standard macros. Flavours of PoR again, slight tropical fruitiness. Simple malt profile
m: Crisp bitterness. Fairly light, simply summer quaffer.
d: Better than XXXX, VB, New, but not as good as the next tier (Cascade Premium, Hahn Premium). On a par with Crown.

Pours a slightly coppery light gold color with head that stood up about 5mm above the rim of the glass. Smells sort of perfumy, and a little yeasty. Not a real pleasant smell. The taste is just as pleasant as the smell. Sort of chemically sweet, and a coppery aftertaste. Mouthfeel isn't too bad, it's very heavy, with a slight harshness. All in all, not a great offering. I won't bother with this again, there's plenty of decent beers in the same price range.

Horrible chemical mess, very very bland and boring, proof that good beer doesn't come from Queensland, totally horrid.
