ripping porter from eumundi. id heard plenty of good stuff about this brew before trying and it certainly lived up to the wraps it had put on it, in fact exceeded them.
looked a little more viscous than the usual porter, thought on first impression tought it may be more in the stout department. quite dark in color for a porter, it didnt fell as thick as it looked. smell was mocha like, and a little smokey. taste was outstanding. rich dark choclate, roasted coffee and just a little milky. beautifully smooth, lovely dry hops to finish things off. big but balanced perfectly. ithis porter goes down so well you could knock them back without too much effort.
a real winner from queensland that doesnt get down south enuff, or anywhere else for that matter. a beer that could be easily drunk as a dessert beer, a winter warmer, or just a good old session beer. whatever you choose, eumundi has hit the jackpot here.
