We collaborated with the incredible team at The Hanging Bat in Edinburgh, a bar and brewpub who have supported our journey from the very early days of Overtone. Together we brewed a soft sessionable pale ale perfect for smashing pint after pint in their bar (or schooner after schooner). Big orange, papaya and mango flavours with some sweet blueberry and spicy notes in full flow.

440ml can from Curious Liquids, Glasgow (£4.30):
Hazy, bright amber with a 2cm, foamy head that's wavy with some lacing on the sides. Slightly dank smelling with mango, stone fruits & apricot with a little dry hop bitterness & citrus fruits; quite fresh. It's resinous, lots of stone fruit flavours & pine hops. Moderately carbonated, dry & slightly tangy but not too bad on the whole.

440ml can. Wow! Very impressive. An AIPA squeezed into just 5%. Looks the part. Smells strongly of melon and ripe mango. Taste follows the nose with a hefty dose of citrus and resinous bitterness that becomes very dry. Mouthfeel struggles just a tad against the low ABV but is perfectly acceptable and improves markedly as the beer warms. Another great beer from Overtone. Very sessionable and highly enjoyable (American brewers take note, it IS possible to produce excellent beer in the American style but at a low gravity).
