This Imperial pastry sour is filled with so much goodness you’ll buckle over. We used digestive biscuits in the mash then infused the beer with cinnamon and vanillas beans before adding kilos of fresh blackberries, cherries and apricots.

Copenhagen 14/5 2023. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Burgundy can with soft round forms in an intricate pattern.
Pours opaque murky burgundy with a small pink head. Bubbly. Disappears fairly quickly leaving a murky substance behind. No lacing but a bit of berry sludge on the sides of the glass.
Aroma is intense with a sweet odor of dark berries saturated with alcohol mingling with tart notes. Ripe blackberries and cherries. Whiff of vanilla. Fragrant cinnamon. Citrus.
Light carbonation. Thick, creamy, viscous, fat, soft texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate tart sourness. Aftertaste is sweet and a bit sugary. Tart undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet biscuit.
Almost a wholesome meal.
