This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, red wine, wheat, lemon, and just the slightest hint of orange.
I'd want more orange here, but it's still solid. It suffers a bit from following a superior dark-tinged farmhouse ale- CD 28 - but it stands well enough on its own. There's bitter chocolate and roast, along with red wine, and some light berry fruitiness.
This is crisp, clean, and pretty drinkable, with a lower level of acidity.
This is on the lower end so far for Freak Folk, but it's still enjoyable enough.
