Classic dense fizzy pour, lovely head.

Smell is a bit too standard to be higher rated. Citrus mostly

Taste is the same, not much bitterness, touch of sweetness.

Feel is thinner than hoped.

Freak Folk has been earning their reputation as a Vermont brewery that doesn't skimp on the expensive ingredients that make their beers special. Their hop saturated IPA offerings stand out in the crowd among current Vermont breweries more interested in producing volume, and distributing watered down versions. The Citra, Waimea, and New Zealand Cascade hops blend beautifully in the yellowish, turbid pour with a bone white head, and good lacing retention. Tropical fruit aroma and flavors with a nice bitter balance at the end. These small batch offerings are generously hopped, and watched over like a mother hen, which is reflected in the price, but very much worth the effort to drive to the brewery and purchase them from their friendly staff.
