The king of Donzoko Lagers.
Pilsner malt, a little Vienna and Munich Malts, decoction mash, Tettnang and Blanc hops.
A beer worth celebrating with.

L- Mid amber, pours clear with fat 1.5cm white head.
S- Deep grain with a slight brightness to it
T- Dry.... hops. That builds into quite a bold dry hoppy finish. Hops are notably more prominent that the malts; I wouldn't expect that in an authentic Festbier.
F- It's clearly pretty solid feeling overall, but the bright hops are a bit loud vs balance.
O- It's drinkable enough just not much resembling a Festbier to me. Perhaps it's a contemporary interpretation with bold/bright hops amped up some notches? Interesting to try but rather too hoppy to me; it seems unbalanced and Festbier is about drinkability and peak crafting. Considering the price, not one I'd choose again.
Bought from Bacchanalia, Cambridge, 440ml can 30/08/24-30/06/25 £5.29 ooph.

Pours a golden amber with fine, fluffy head.
Smell is malty with some citrusy tang and some floral, biscuity and fruity notes.
Taste is malty with some fine sweetness and tangy citrusy hints. Floral and fruirt with hints of biscuit and lemonade, and a moderate bitterness. Clean and crisp.
Mouthfeel is thin to medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a nice, clean lager.
