Copenhagen 17/2 2023. 50 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Golden and dark blue can which looks like something imported from an obscure part of Eastern Europe.

Pours unclear, pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with a bit of peat and small. Light citric notes. Sweet pale malts, bread and grains. Peat with a touch of salami. Lemon and citrus.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a touch of smoke. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.

Pretty light smoked Lager Beer.

L- Quite a rich gold. Pours with a slight haze and thin white cap.
S- Light smoke and not much else gets through that for me tonight.
T- Some rich malt, then almost a brief citrus facet (I think) and into a lightly smokey finish.
F- It felt a bit richer earlier on but unfortunately my new glass has killed the CO2 and it's now coming over a bit thin. (My glass's fault, I shan't down-grade for it).
O- Interesting, different, quite a lot going on. Smoke is a Marmite facet I suspect, it's works for you as not. Here it pretty subtle. I like this, the focus is on the smoke vs hops. Would I buy again at the price... hmmm probably not.
Bought from Bacchanalia Mill Road Cambridge £5.25/500ml can. Canned: 03/12/21 BB: 03/09/22
