Ruby, brown color where light passes through the center of the glass. Apparently clear, though hard to tell. Small but lasting head. A few spots linger after each sip.
Semisweet, darker toasted aroma. Attractive in a mild sort of way.
The flavor is straight forward with a nutty toast start leading to a hop bitterness that is rather nondescript. Good body with a lightly elevated effervescence. The finish is mostly darker malt flavors. The aftertaste is short.
