Got this one from hopsolutely this past summer. Cheers!
From a 473ml can into a pint glass
Jumping Bean Coffee: Tanzanian Roast
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear black and yields a one finger, looser, slighty foamy tan head with good retention. Black body with quite a bit of carbonation streamlining up the middle of the glass. Head recedes to a full wisp and ring. A splotchy wisp remains until the end leaving touches of lacing down the glass as it empites.
SMELL: Roasted coffee beans, sweet vanilla cream, dark chocolate and a hint of burnt malts on the nose. Aromatic, bold and very enticing. Excellent.
TASTE: Roasted malts, coffee beans, dark chocolate and some bitterness at the swallow. Bold finish of roasted coffee beans, sweet cream, vanilla notes, chocolate cookies and a bit of fudge lingers nicely. Some coffee bitterness too. Very enjoyable.
PALATE: Medium body and slightly higher levels of carbonation. Creamy enough, a bit foamy, goes down smooth and finishes a bit mouth-coating. Decent feel.
OVERALL: This is really good stuff. The feel is a little foamy and the head is not quite tight enough, but the aroma and flavor are all spot on. Something well worth checking out, especially if you’re a fan of coffee forward breakfast stouts. Thanks again, guys! Delicious.
