I think I got either an infected pint can or one that had been stored improperly. When I popped the opener a lot of foam and beer came out and I thought hmmm. The fluffy dark tan head was initially impressive over a dark brown body but it faded to nothingness quickly. The smell was fine of chocolate, coffee and malt as was the taste. The mouthfeel was strangely thin and I ended up pouring half of it.
I'd like to try this again fresh because I'm pretty sure it would be much better.

1 PINT can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with less than an inch of mocha head that leaves no trace upon its departure.
The smell is roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, and molasses.
The taste follows the smell exactly. It is extremely well balanced and drinkable.
Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
For a plain ole imperial stout this is quite good. There are no pastry adjuncts. This is just a fine example of the style.

Glossy black with a dense, bumpy two-finger tan head.
Tobacco and a lightly smoky, woody roast pair with a unique vanilla-like softening creaminess that then lifts accents of cinnamon bark.
The medium body is smoothly slick, where notes of mocha coffee and cacao continue to ribbon through contrasting cigar as a fine, faint carbonation comes to a semi-dry, barely semi-bitter finish.
