Black Flannel did it again! What a great find, really love this brewery/distillery/resto.
Janáček is straight up fantastic. Tall, dark, handsome, delicious. Very velvety and smooth, rich and flavorful. Love it!

On tap at Black Flannel Brewing in Essex, VT.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like creamy dark chocolate, roasted malt, and a little bit of spice.
This is basically everything I want in a dark lager – it’s one of my favorite styles on earth, and this version gets the job done. It’s got loads of creamy bittersweet chocolate flavor, dense, slightly bitter, slightly sweet, and well balanced. There’s a nice herbal roasted malt character, and just a hint of spicy hop bitterness.
This is medium bodied, very creamy, and very drinkable.
I really cannot believe I had never heard of Black Flannel until my recent Vermont trip – they are in my crosshairs now!
