Very carbonated, a pour from a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug at first produces a foamy beige head. Underneath, lies a black coffee colored liquid. There's only slight glass lacing. The aroma is of roasted, but only moderately, malt. There is more of the roasted character in the taste. Some hopping may also contribute to the dry and slightly bitter overall taste, certainly at the finish. This is exactly what it claims to be, a dry stout. The mouthfeel is very light, lacking body, but yet pleasant to drink. It feels less carbonated than expected. Tastes of hops and roasted malt are subdued, yet noticeable. This makes for a good session beer, with a low ABV, easy drinking and sufficient roasted malt taste.
