Small intimate atmosphere in a small upscale section of Annapolis. Limited shared table seating indoors, small front porch with a few tables, and an outdoor crushed stone side area with small tables. Ok selection of draft beers, mostly hops. Small Artisan food venue that looked really good.

Definitely had a resort town tasting room vibe. There was a fundraiser for the county library system, so crowded with old people who had no idea what was going on. Order at a counter and pick up beers, they'll bring the food to you. Nice selection of beers.

First things First. FORWARD BREWING's manager, a very young but incredibly outgoing lady (NAOMI) simply ROCKS. Her personality alone makes going to FORWARD a great experience! OWNERS- take note. You should TRIPLE her salary or old MSFT execs like me might be inclined to POACH HER! Ok- to the Beer. They have 'the' best Porter I have EVER tried. Its called CEREMONIOUS EXCHANGE and it clocks in at a WHOPPING 11.5%. When was the last time YOU had a PORTER (not a stout!) that weighed in at this kind of magic number? They also have an even TASTIER version on nitro that is bourbon barrel aged. Both of these libations are HELLAFIED. As in simply awesome. I didn't even both trying some of their other libations because I couldn't stop drinking the PORTER! RUN, don't walk or drive, RUN to Forward Brewing, ask for NAOMI and go DRINK some of this BEER! You will NOT, repeat, NOT, be disappointed!

Visited on a Thursday night with my wife. 9 outdoor tables with good social distancing. You order food and drinks at a walk-up window and pick them up at a window several feet away. It's a nice set-up for the pandemic. The food was a little bit on the pricey side but was delicious with some nice fresh options, a change of pace from typical pub fare. Eventually they will offer flights but for now it's just pints, so we got a triple berry smoothie sour (which was very good) and an ESB (which was absolutely amazing). IMO, for a brand-new tiny brewery to have 8 totally distinct styles of their own beer on tap (porter, smoothie sour, red IPA, Kolsch, NEIPA, ESB, helles lager, biere de garde) is impressive. I just wish I could have tried more than 2 beers.
