a delightful and crazy fresh hazy ipa here featuring sabro hops, which are rightly coming into vogue, such an awesome and distinctive varietal! its not alone here, there are citra and galaxy in the mix as well, a seriously awesome combination of hops that makes this a rather unique beer, even in such a common and widespread style. the beer is uniformly cloudy, a shade more toward orange than blonde but still very light, and with a short but thick white head on top. aroma is fresh sliced peaches, lemongrass, pineapple, and juiced orange, a mix of tropical, stone fruit, and citrus. i get some light lime pushing through from the galaxy, an almost coconut thing from the sabro, and meyer lemon from the citra all at once, although for me what the sabro contributes stands out the most. i get an ever so slight onion sort of greenness from the hops in the aroma, but its not there in the taste at all. the grain base tastes and feels simple here, but it has a nice frothiness that supports the hops well. low bitterness, this is mostly dry hopped from what i can tell, which makes sense with these varietals. everything is incredibly fresh and the combination of fruit nuances from the different hops come together exceptionally well. i liked all the beers i had in here, but this was a standout in the style, it has me excited for future hoppy beers in here too. very nicely done!
