Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden color with a one finger head; squiggles of lacing

Smell: The acetic lemon tones of kumquat and sumac loom large here with the passion fruit and apricot adding a subtle dimension; dry and oaky underneath

Taste: Acetic from the outset with strong kumquat and sumac flavors dominating; the apricot and passion fruit temper the acidity; oaky, through the middle, with a dry, tart finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation; plenty of pucker

Overall: A nicely crafted Wild Ale that has just enough fruit to offset the acidity

Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. Part of a Eureka Missouri series. No dating on the 22 ounce bottle that I can find.

It pours a hazy dark yellow with a fairy long lasting head of foam. Good lacing.

Smells acetic with notes of apricot, passionfruit, don't know aboot the kumquat or sumac listed on the label. Some mild notes of Brett.

The taste is dry, full of the fruits I mentioned, some Brett, good and sour!

Medium mouthfeel, very smooth. I favour it.

A very excellent Melvin Wild Ale!
