Gifted can with no date. Unsure but beer has been out for about 2 months; so reasonably fresh.
Can states that beer is a Garnet Red Czech style lager.
Poured into German lager glass.
Beer began as brown with plump head; advanced with more red coming through but really had to hold it to light. Head quickly disappeared. Disappointing.
Not much nose… but to be fair the beer was cold.
Taste was a bit herbal flowery that did not remind me of Bohemian lagers. Actually seemed a bit off/old. Unsure how can had been handled.
Body was ok, and what I’d hope from a good lager.
Overall a decent beer but didn’t make me think of Czech brewing, and also seemed this can may not represent the beer that may be served fresh on tap. I’m thinking this too, because I’ve been to Fourscore and found their beers excellent on tap at their brew pub.
