I had this beer on-tap in a generous pint glass at the Avenue Pub in New Orleans -- where else!
Appearance: murky yellow hue with a finger of frothy white foam. Not a traditional pils maybe, but still, a good looking beer.
Smell: good malt aroma with a bit of fruity yeastiness. Like the appearance, it's hard to reconcile with a pils, but still, it's nice.
Taste: yeasty with a good malt flavor and a nice pre-prohibition lager character. Not super hoppy, but creamy and tasty.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. Not bad.
Overall: like I said, I can't really square the circle of this being a "pilsner" — but it is good!
