International Green Week, Berlin 2012: our second day and Hall 22b is where I came across the bar from Passau: I had two of the beers on offer, this one on-tap, the Lowen Bock bottled.
0.3 Litre in a lovely glass: Pale yellow, clear golden body, clean and bright looking beer. The usual white crown; stayed a while before turning into a collar and wisp. Looked like your typical Pilsner/Helles/Lager.
Grainy smell, hints of malt and hop grass like aromas.
The taste was again the usual tangy, thirst quenching experience you come to expect from a well made beer of this style. No huge block-buster flavours but a refreshing blend of light malts and hops.
Body depth and feel were fine for the type of beer it is: nothing bad about the beer at all, no world beater, but overall, fine.
