Pours a deep amber-brown with a two finger creamy white head that has great retention. Smells of brown bread, clove, banana and caramel. Tastes of peppery yeast up front with notes of clove and white paper. Mid palate gives bread bread, caramel and a hint of nuttiness. The finish gives more yeast and bready notes. Medium body with medium carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and crisp finish

An average pour from a 1PT. 0.9 FL OZ bottle yields a finger of soapy beige foam with average retention and spots of lace. It sounded like Rice Crispys. Cloudy and semi-opaque deep earthy brown color, orange-brown in front of bright light.
Roasted and toasted grainy and bready wheat greet the nose with some caramel sweetness. Clove is faint and replaces hops with bakers chocolate and over-ripe banana.
As in the smell roasted flavors are first in the taste with sweetness a close 2nd that creates balance. Between neutral and semi-sweet with low bitterness that comes from toasted malt/wheat. Roasted nuts, apple cider, pear and a slight burnt taste lead to a long finish.
The aftertaste dries a bit and lingers a while, bitterness sneaks up to above average.
Medium-light body with lasting carbonation, smooth and sessionable with hidden alcohol.
I get the feeling this beer is a little old, still enjoyable. label states "21 11 17 /H", I hope that does not mean 11/21/17-BB or Bottled On. I hope to try a fresher one someday.

Pours hazy, chestnut brown in color with one inch head. Taste is dark bread, prune, mineral, and faint molasses. Light bodied, sweet, with moderate carbonation. Makes for a really tasty, interesting malty treat. Took a flier in this and I am really glad I did. Nice and sessionable German brew.

Reddish brown, beautiful color, and beautiful foam, off-white in color.
The smell presents dark notes of malt, wheat, a bit of banana, hints of cloves and yeast. Classic, not bad.
Dunkel, not too much, in the taste too, same flavours.
Hint of light toasted in the aftertast, along why dry fruit.
Well balanced and pleasant.

Brown color with a haze. Light shines through easily. Moderate head which provides for a few streaks of lace.
The smell is sour without any traditional wheat aromas. Also there is little
Smooth but thin bodied with ample carbonation. The flavor isn't as "dark" as most Dunkels, although there's a touch of clove (but no banana) to the taste. The flavor leans to the malt, mostly crystal. Short aftertaste.

On tap at Prost!
A mildly hazy dark brown with a long-lasting beige head, this looks great. The nose is rich and flavorful with layers of banana, clove, dark wheat and a little rye-like character present. A nice graininess is also present. The palate opens with a very nice blend of ripe banana and fresh cloves, mildly earthy and moderately spicy. There's a little bit of caramel/burnt sugar present, along with a nice, grainy, bread flavor. Creamy and supple on the palate, this beer has a long lasting finish with bananas and cloves lingering. The whole really is more than the sum of the parts, here.
