I'm not a huge fan of wheat beers however this is organic and unfiltered, and also contains spelt! Cool bottle design.
Mega malty aroma with some mild muskiness and faint chocolatey banana. Looks pretty good, quite a dark colour, I guess that is the spelt. Head is average with small bubbles...
Unique flavour. Not as banana flavoured as most wiessbiers. Smooth and creamy. The spelt adds an interesting flavour that reminds me of spelt pasta. It's surprisingly well balanced and complex. Hops are very mild but it doesn't really need them...and it's very rare for me to write this. The spelt for me is the best flavour here, it would be great if they made it with a higher proportion.
In terms of flavours...I detect spelt, burnt banana, a little dates and lemon peel...everything is so smooth and balanced, it's difficult to isolate individual flavours!
As a bonus I get a good feeling from drinking it, which is proof for me that it's made from natural and organic ingredients, and the producers care about their product. Plus I drank it surprisingly fast.
