Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (25% clairty), light golden color with a very minimal head. SRM of 7. (4.00)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of citrus zest, pink grapefruit, pomelo, and pineapple. (3.75)

Flavor: Moderate to strong juicy flavors of pink grapefruit, citrus, lemon citrus zest, pineapple, and pomelo with a citrusy finish. Some light citrus pith bitterness. (4.25)

Feel: Medium to lighter bodied. Strong carbonation. Some light pith of citrus astringency, but citrus sweetness lingers. Some nice carbonation to lean for a clean finish. (4.50)

Compared to Fair State Mister Falcon IPA 4/17/22: Pours an identical color, milder head. Lighter aromas. More citrus zest, grapefruit, pomelo. Less tangerine.

Overall: A very-citrus forward NEIPA. Nice pink grapefruit, bitter pineapple, pomelo, lemon zest, more citrus on the finish. Not flowery nor herbal, but just citrus zest mostly. Moderate citrus pith astringency. Didn't appreciate much of the danker Mosaic notes as this was mostly citrus here. Some nice carbonation to finish clean. Pretty enjoyable with the astringent citrus pith off the end. (Rating: 4.14+)

been hearing a lot about these guys but this is my first beer from them, first one i have even seen on tap, i dont remember them from my time in minnesota, they must be newish. this seems to be one of their more popular brews, and i have to say i was quite impressed with the overall quality. seems fresher than most out of state hazy ones, especially the ones coming west to idaho, and it seems distinctive for citra and mosaic, a well worn combination of hops for this style, but here they seem to tease a little more out of it, green melon, melon rind, coconut water, tangerine, and lemon verbena in addition to more familiar meyer lemon, white grapefruit, and canned pineapple character from these hops, and there is no fall off from nose to taste. its not the sexiest beer, doesnt hold much head, looks a tad dull and dense for drinkability, and even though it has enough carbonation it just doesnt feel super lively or bright, but the flavors pop and it has me intrigued enough to jump when i see another one from these guys come through. slightly oily in feel which i like, good linger even though its on the dry side, and a modern but clean ferment for the style. strong to very strong offering and first impression here!

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple, orange and toasted caramel taste. Sweet, tangy tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and spicy bitterness.

Unknown vintage (presumably summer 2021); drank 9/21/21 @ the Yarchives.

Cloudy orange/yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big, pillow-y white head; frothy lace.

Pineapple, table sugar & dry grass notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Pineapple & table sugar flavors up front; dry grass notes on the finish.

Close, but no cigar; the odd sweetness felt artificial to me.

16oz from a new brewer in my AO. Hazy sunset gold, moderate to full haze, with a wispy white head. Lots of fruity Mosaic and Citra, tropical fruit, dankness, blueberry, sweeter malt, minor caramel, minor green vegetal bitterness, smooth medium-sized body.

Pours a murky apricot color with short lived white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is bold tropical fruit, pineapple, guava and mango, some citrus as well. Flavor follows the nose, sweet with only a hint of hop bite in the finish. Feel is a bit on the watery side. Overall a fair beer.

$4.49 USD/16 fl oz pull-tab can:

"Hazy IPA with Mosaic and Citra hops." 7.3% ABV.

Served cold into a stemless wine glass.

HEAD: Thinnest I've seen this year. Very weak looking. White in colour. It has the consistency of thin soap bubbles. Off-puttingly weak.

BODY: Murky coppery gold. A bit dull.

Looks well carbonated.

AROMA: Citrus. Vague tropical fruit. Orange, guava, tangerine, mango, subdued pineapple. I'm not finding any blueberry from the Mosaic, but Citra seems put to good use based on the aroma.

Maltwise I guess I get pale malt and wheat, but little else. Emphasis is rightly on the hops here.

TASTE & TEXTURE: Juicy? Sure. A bit silky up front but it has such a weak thin presence on the palate that the mouthfeel distracts from the beer as a whole. Needs more body and carbonation. Good God that's a thin IPA texture.

Hop profile is just what the aroma suggested, which is to say it puts Citra to good use but fails to showcase the fullest potential of Mosaic. Gooseberry, mango, faint pineapple, citrus, tangerine, orange.

Not a terribly complex ale, but it's well balanced enough flavorwise. Depth of hop flavour could be improved. I don't know that it's better for using malts other than 2-row/pale malt...the wheat I don't think does it any favors and probably contributes to how thin it feels.

OVERALL: It's a nice enough IPA with a pleasant enough hop profile, but if I'm buying a Citra & Mosaic hopped IPA, I'd pick Deschutes' Fresh Squeezed over this any day of the week - and that's $10/sixer or less whereas this is a laughably overpriced $4.49 USD/can.

Drinkable and enjoyable, but the Citra & Mosaic hop harmony has been done to death in IPAs - dozens of which are a hell of a lot better and a hell of a lot cheaper than this.

From a pint can lashed into an English bitter glass.
Pours like a dark grapefruit juice. A soapy head that disappears quickly and does not cling to the glass. The ale is quickly darker at the bottom 1/2 of the glass than the top 1/2. Standard grapefruit juice color on top.
After pouring I can immediately smell, from 18 inches away the royalty of citra hop/grapefruit and a wee bit of mango.
It's taste is juicy, citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest/rind, mango. It is lightly sweet, medium smooth, not overly dank. There are mosaic twinges with lemon zest making a triumphant return. Perhaps a distant coriander/nutmeg in the way back machine...waaaay back. But the citra hops are dominant and hang ten on the flave wave all the way back to the beach!
This fine hazy IPA doesn't have a wide or commanding overall palpation nor is it parching for being so deep with specific grapefruit washes. It has a medium body and ambiance and it's tactility is wholesome.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has a bit of whitish hues. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and some bits of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberry are present in the nose along with notes of lime.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of mango towards the finish. Only a slight amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied, somewhat juicy and a little crisp on the palate with a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has a nice dose of hops in the smell and taste, but the Citra is more prominent compared to the Mosaic.
