im fairly certain this is the version of this i had on tap at the covey in sun valley, an absurdly awesome restaurant, but i cannot confirm it, i think this is the current iteration, and its solid, more coffee in this than most of these have, super robust on that front, but the base beer is sturdy and roasty too and can hold up to all the coffee no problem, i was impressed with the balance that this somehow has in its flavor enormity, uncommon for sure and very well done. pretty much black in the glass with a short tan head, low shine, not real viscous or anything. the aroma here is super roasty, bitter all the way but not acidic to me from the coffee in the least, there is dark chocolate, espresso richness, and very little middle malt sweetness, it doesnt rely on that for balance. the flavor is coffee driven, some cool nuance to it, hazelnut, vanilla, and more of a milk chocolate, but it stays bitter the entire way, nothing desserty about this, its also impressively dry. clean on the ferment, no acid from the coffee at all, so im thinking they had to do a cold brew or a post fermentation cold steep, but im not sure. its delicious but it also stays with me awhile, hard to believe its not an imperial, its flavored like a much bigger beer. high quality, cool coffee, different take on the style. well done, i hope to get to try the other coffee variants and confirm that this is in fact the turntables edition that i had. if anyone knows which of these has come to idaho, let me know!

The aroma is mostly strong rich coffee. The flavor adds dark chocolate and a hint of dark fruits. Deep, intense flavor and almost creamy mouthfeel.

12oz can. Bottom can lip is stamped 'PKG:11/24/21'.
Black colored body, with dark walnut back lit edge. One thick finger of varying bubble sizes for the head. Reduces to tight, tiny bubble cap. Leaves partial lacing wall on the non-drinking side of the glass.
Aroma is evident from the opening of the can. Artisanal coffee smell wafts from the glass. Very dark roasted coffee, with notes of chocolate, rich caramel, and with a slight smokiness. Also has dark roasted malts with vanilla.
Taste is less with the coffee, and more with the dark roasted malts and a dark fruity aspect sprinkled with dark roast coffee. Has a touch of vanilla. Sweet dark roast coffee in the aftertaste.
Thinner mouth feel. Bitterness level is quite low for such a dark roast coffee. Quiet carbonation.
Very tasty sipper for the colder weather.
