Canned 3/6/23 (3 months ago)

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, medium to rich golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 8. (3.75)

Aroma: Strong aromas of pale malts, grains, lemon citrus and lemon flower. Light and floral. (4.25)

Flavor: Strong flavors of pale malts, German grains and bread with a lemon citrus and honeyflower flavor off the end. (4.25)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Lemony, floral, and slightly sweet. (4.00)

Compared to Surly Hell 6/2023: Pours darker, milder head. Stronger aromas. More lemon citrus and lemonflower. More honey too. Less bready, but also still somewhat more smooth. Heavier and sweeter, but I think better. Mismatched these two blind. Winner: Falling Knife
6/25: Less smooth pale malt. More floral and hoppy.
9/25: Similar aromas. More hoppy and robust.

Compared to Falling Knife Convivio 7/2023: Pours darker, milder head. Stronger aromas. More sweet lemon and honey. Less lemon zest, flower, dry yeast and grains. Smoother and sweeter.

to Lupulin Dortmunder 5/25: Pours similar. Less smooth bread, honey. More juicy bright lemon. Similar sweetness.

to Utepils Helles 5/25: Pours lighter. Less smooth bread and pale malt. More hoppy and floral.

Overall: An excellent German lager. Bready, German wheat with a lemonflower and lemon citrus note. Some light honey to back it up. The dry hopping accentuates this beer perfectly. This one is excellent and one of the best I've had. (Rating: 4.14+)

16 oz can dared 3/6/23. I like everything about this beer. I’ve had enough IPAs for awhile but still like a big, bold hoppy flavor. I also didn’t need the high ABVs anymore but at 5.5% this feels just right.

Can. White head with lace. Clear golden color.

Crisp, clean. The hop profile is insane on this. Grassy, piney, earthy, zesty. Nobel hop profile. Biscuit and bready malts. Loving this one. At 10 days old this is drinking great.
