We took the choicest pick of our Imperial Stout chilling in Willet Rye barrels after a year and racked it into a fresh Elijah Craig full proof barrel where it lived for another year, developing new and incredible flavors.

Sampled this on tap during the Severed Thumb Fest or whatever when they released it, now splitting this 500ML bottle with my lovely wife. While cursing all umpires.
Hard black with all the head of a glass of bourbon. Aroma: bourbon. Full stop.
Ancient Techniques = Heaps O’ Booze. Bourbon spits fire onto the palate, swinging & kicking. Soft, sweet malts with a touch of roast & chocolate provides the canvas for the violent barrels. Oak? A bit. Full. Half this cute baby bottle might have been correct.
There will be a minimum of two snooze smashes tomorrow. And that’s not including whatever bottle we’re going to follow this up with. Very good beer.
