Poured this only to find Tom Berg died over the weekend when I came to write my review. Raising my glass in tribute.
A - Lovely can, pours a largely opaque orangish body, short white head that fades to an intermittent cap. Lacing everywhere, very nice.
S - A bit of grass and spice over a citrus and tropical fruit core. Pineapple and passionfruit are what I tease out there, with a bit of grapefruit-like zest and pith.
T - The tropical fruit comes forward, with pineapple and guava, a bit of mango and peach, and tangerine citrus in the middle, fading out to a grapefruit pith spike of bitterness in the finish, but not harshly so.
M - Moderate weight, moderate carbonation, and a bit of siltiness on the tongue, all consistent with the style. There is a resin dryness on the tail that does build a bit.
O - All in all, quite a tasty NEIPA. There is a lot to enjoy here, and I'd drink another if the opportunity arose.
