Beer #16 in the KALEA Beer Advent Calendar. Served at cellar temperature into a pint glass. Thanks Nicole and Kevin.
Appearance - Pours a clear, dirty golden colored brew, with nearly two fingers of white head with above average lasting power. Some visible carbonation in the brew.
Smell - Some grainy aspects, a slight bit of caramel and sweetness, has more in common with many American blonde ales from the nose aspect. Altogether to sweet for my nose.
Taste - Lots of grain, then about as much sweetness as I can handle within the style, followed by some minerally aspects and general graininess with a small dose of bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium light bodied, carbonation is about right, a bit more watery to close than some but that's not really a bad thing.
Overall - Decent beer, but more in the middle or just below the middle of the pack with the calendar so far. Wouldn't necessarily buy this on my own in the future, as better examples of the style are prevalent.

Local beer from Regensburg, found in a 33cl bottle.
Faint bread-like taste. A little bit of acidity. Nothing special.
