L- Mid gold, clear as you'd expect of a 'Kristall weizen ohne hefe'. Good rising carbonation giving a nice super-fine bubble 5mm creamy looking white head. [ps 10mins after pouring, the head is holding unchanged from that described].
S- Some malts, there is another facet that just about stands out but subtle so I can't ID yet.
T- First sip of beer of the day... very trad as expected, biscuity malts, quality weizen profile but , in passing, I'm not registering material levels of spice notes. There is something a tiny bit piquant in the finish... at first I thought a *tiny* twist of sour, then I thought 'Or is it a fruit-sour twist', either way it's very subtle to me and I think adds to the whole.
F- It has quite a solid presence, it's pretty meaty and I think the 5.4% comes over on the palate as around that. Carbonation in the mouth is good.
O- Understated, trad, zero noted that isn't pleasant. No drama and it's not going to shoot the lights out with excitement but it would be very sessionable, esp. in Germany at their bargain beer prices! Bought in the UK as a somewhat specialist import I'm not sure it's doing enough to prompt me to buy it again. It's certainly pleasant but it's otherwise lacking in any distinctive ID/character.
500ml bottle £2.69, bought for home delivery from BeersOfEurope BB: 15/01/2021.

i am rating number 2? wow! and the last rating was a month ago... maybe we shall see more of this pour into our markets?
pours clear, darker straw color with tight, creamy head on top which subsides rather quickly. it leaves a strong froth on the sides as the glass is tipped to one side. lots of effervescence.
smells like 'wet grain' as the other reviewer said.
tastes sweet and rich. metallic after taste although i'm not certain it's because it's old. rich like the wheats are with a slight hop after bite. the metallic taste comes after it's gone. date on the bottle is 08/09/2011.... upon furhter review, and translation from the online dictionary, the date referred to translates to "At least preserved until:" which i interpret to mean "BEST BY:"....
so, now we know i have a very old bottle on my hands and that is most likely where the metallic taste is coming from. most kristalls are not very complex so i figure that must be the age of it speaking.
oh well. i suppose we ought to throw this review out, eh? the ratings stand for what i tasted, though, and even old it is still a decent brew.

Poured a nice two fingers of head on a hazy, straw colored body. Low retention on the head though.
The aroma is a wonderful wet grain smell.
The taste is grain, malt with a little sweetness and mild bitterness overall. Simple and nice.
A fizzy and crisp texture. Moderate carbonation and medium body.
An enjoyable beer.
