Our story begins in 2012. That's when Forge Brew Works was formed, the first production brewery ever in Fairfax County, Virginia. In our Lorton location, we grew from our initial 1 bbl brewhouse (which still acts as our pilot system!) to a 5 bbl brewhouse, to eventually our 10 bbl brewhouse that we use now.

Way down a loong country lane in Warrenton. Gravel road ends at a niecly kept farm type building which house the brew house and tap room. empty upon my arrival, so I felt kind of lost in this spacious brew hall. Great service, good beer. Nice grounds surround the place.

Big modern farmhouse, very open, built for a busy weekend, not mid afternoon on a weekday like when I was the only one there. Beers were alright, but they did have a nice variety. Despite me being the only one there, the bartender just sat on his phone and pretty much just took my order and gave me my beers. At least engage in busy work, dude.

Visited on a Sunday in August 2020. Place was busy with all inside tables full (during quarantine).
V - Open, clean, bright and new/ A classic warehouse brewery in the middle of nowhere vibe. 3.75
Qual - Are you looking for best in class or a decent version of multiple styles? Based on the beers I samples, its the later. 3.75
Sel - I love the wide variety in this world of IPA-only beer lists. 4.0
Ser - Average. Quarantine makes judging service a bit difficult, but generally fine. 3.75
