Copenhagen 22/9 2022. 44 cl can from Mikkelller web-shop. Black can with Hopalaai's logo and the simple mathematical name of the beer.
Pours opaque, unclear amber with small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, boozy and fermented odor of tropical fruit mingling with subtle citrus. Mango and passionfruit. Overripe and and fermented. Lemon and grapefruit rummaging in the background.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with strong, fermented sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and laden with alcohol.
Powerful DIPA which can not - or do not wish to - hide the potent ABV.
