Copenhagen 30/7 2022. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. The can lives up to the name as it actually looks like an exploding juice in purple and orange.
Pours opaque, hazy orange with a small white head. Bubbly Disappears after a minute or so. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong, sweet, fruity odor of tropical fruit juice with light tart notes. Mango, pineapple and passion fruit. Hints of citrus and lemon.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, a bit sticky and almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly tense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong, tart bitterness. Aftertaste is tart with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
More flavoring and fruit juice than Indian Pale Ale. But a nice fruit combo when they are at it.
