This beer was brewed in honor of one of the oldest beer styles in England, but with a distinct stateside twist. A deep copper ale with malt and caramel aromas that waft delicately to your nose. A tight-laid foam breaks away to a slightly malty, but smooth, dry finish, balanced with an ever so slight American hop bitterness.

Very darak copper and clear in a Harp nonic. One half inch of khaki cream holds for five minutes before settling to a thick veil.
Sweet caramel and crackers fill the aroma. Peanuts and coffee are prominently in the background and I think I may have even detected applesauce.
The flavor follows the nose and, while sweet, it is far from cloying. Light bitterness makes a late introduction in the finish. All flavors are mild, and unfortunately a bit muddled. The toasted malt is nice.
A soft texture with medium to full body gives it a bit of an oily feel. Carbonation is fizzy.
This was another nice surprise from a brewer we visited on a lark. The flavor is more akin to a Brown Ale than a Mild. I easily finished the crowler on a cold, Autumn Sunday. One could easily spend a day drinking this beer while playing games or chatting with friends.
